Privacy notice
In plain language
We process sign-in email, age eligibility, the consent receipts you choose, profile facts you later provide, and technical logs needed to fulfil requests. Only information you explicitly provide or confirm, and allow for that purpose, may be used for matching. Unconfirmed inference is never a hard constraint. You may request an export or account closure.
Another Half Privacy Notice (version 2026.08.30)
As needed to provide and protect the service, we process sign-in email; session and device-revocation data; age eligibility; consent receipts; profile details and preferences you provide; photos; chat and asynchronous voice messages; AI conversation text and visible memories you confirm; matching feature snapshots and explanations; blocks, reports, and support cases; notification settings and Push subscriptions; membership and payment records; data-rights requests; and limited technical, security, idempotency, and audit records. An account proves only control of a sign-in identity. Unless a named check is clearly shown as complete, it does not verify a legal name, government document, or background.
PostgreSQL is the primary system of record for account and business data. Private photos, voice messages, and time-limited export files may be held in controlled object storage. Payments are handled by a Stripe-category payment processor and device notices use the Web Push ecosystem; Another Half does not store full payment-card details in its application database. When you enable AI or voice, the text, image, or audio needed for that turn is sent to a published AI provider, currently including Google Gemini. Providers may process data under their contracts, security and abuse-monitoring controls, and approved retention settings. Another Half cannot promise end-to-end zero retention on their behalf.
Only information you explicitly provide or confirm, and allow for that purpose, may be used for matching. Hard constraints come only from validated explicit data. Unconfirmed inference is never a hard constraint; it may only be a bounded, disclosed soft signal. An explanation must come from the same feature snapshot used for the decision.
We retain data only as needed for service delivery, security, dispute handling, legal obligations, and published retention policies. Another Half does not persist raw live-voice audio. Asynchronous member voice messages are retained after you choose to send them until their conversation or account lifecycle, or an erasure process, handles them. Export links and provider credentials are short-lived. Backups, audit evidence, and external-provider copies may take longer to clear under their applicable policies.
In the product you can inspect, correct, hide, or delete retained memories; manage withdrawable consent; and request an export or account closure. An accepted request is not proof that a file has been delivered or that every backup or provider copy has been physically erased. Closure immediately sets application access to deletion-pending. Necessary terms are not matching consent. Voice processing requires its own grant.
